The Hitter’s Seat™ was developed by Gregg Ritchie, a former professional baseball player and former Major League hitting coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is currently a Division I head baseball coach at his alma mater, the George Washington University in Washington, DC where he is also a member of the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Ritchie is a multi-Championship-winning USA Baseball Coach who has trained some of Major League Baseball’s top performers, World Series winners, and a recent National League MVP.
